Stocktaking phase [1]
The stocktaking phase will assess the inputs received during the consultation phase. During this phase a preparatory meeting will be held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the Secretary-General will present a report to provide Member States with recommendations before the beginning of the intergovernmental negotiations.

The stocktaking meeting provides a platform for different nations and stakeholders to jointly shape a vision for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
