The modalities resolution (A/RES/71/280) [2] outlining the preparatory process for the intergovernmental conference requests the President of the General Assembly to organize and to preside over four days of informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearings, between April 2017 and June 2018, with representatives of non­governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, parliaments, diasporas, migrants, migrant organizations and the private sector, and to prepare a summary of the hearings, to be made available as an input for the intergovernmental negotiations (paragraph 30).

Registration for multi-stakeholders now re-opened for the 4th negotiation round (14-18 May) and for the Informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing (21 May).
