The competition recognizes the media as a key stakeholder in informing the public about migration and rewards excellence in journalism on migration topics.

In the video, the SRSG explores how environmental drivers of migration, such as land degradation, desertification and soil erosion, undermine the sustainability of local livelihoods and push people to leave their communities.
